Exterior design of the Traveller Kitchen @ Taichung

Interior design of the restaurant and the food recommended by the friendly waitresses.

The famous Fengjia Night Market @ Taichung and the oyster mee suan.

Day 3 (Chiayi - Nantou):
  • Woke up at 3am to catch the 4am train to the Chu-shan (祝山)  for the sunrise over the Jade Mountain (玉山).
  • Took a half day tour around the Alishan National Scenic Area (阿里山國家風景區) before leaving for Sun Moon Lake @ Nantou.
  • On our way to the Sun Moon Lake, we passed by Jiji train station and the Paper King shop.
Saw the first sunrise of the day at Chu-shan.

Train was approaching the Chu-shan station.

Look how clear the water is, you can see the reflection of the pavilion very clearly.

 The famous Jiji train station

Look at all the furnitures, they are really made up cardboard. Very innovative!

Day 4 & 5 (Nantou):
  • Stayed 1 night at the Sun Moon Lake.
  • Moved on to the Cing Jing Farm the next morning.
Took the lake with panaroma function with my Sony Camera.

The view from the hotel.

View from the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway. Must go!

Passed by the Peacock park after leaving the Sun Moon Lake.
The famous Wen Wu Temple.

There was a large compound in front of our hotel 清境那魯灣 at Cing Jing.

Unfortunately, it was raining when we were at Green Green Grassland, else the greenery would have been much more picturesque.

Day 6 - 9 (Taipei):
  • Took a train back to Taipei station and spent the remaining days at Taipei.
  • Went to these few scenic areas, e.g. Shifen, Pingxi, Jingtong, Jiufen, Jingguashi.
  • Shopped at Tamshui, Shihlin/Shida/Gongguan Night Market, Ximending, Taipei Main Station, Taipei City Hall Station, Wufenpu.
The Shifen waterfall is also named as the mini-Nigeria fall.

At the entrance and one of the famous alley in Jiufen. It is always crowded with the locals and tourists. A must-visit place!

Yam and sweet potato balls with beancurd. A must-try dessert when you are at Jiufen. This shop at the entrance of Jiufen, is one of the best stalls selling this dessert.

If you were to visit Taipei, you must try at the San Yuan Chinese Cuisine 三源
located at ATT4FUN shopping complex (5th floor).
One of their signature dish is the chocolate xiaolongbao (heard that it has been patented too).

A must-eat breakfast at Fu Hang dou jiang 阜杭豆漿 at Huashan market (2nd floor).
